Il Tinello and traditional Tuscan cuisine
Mediterranean Beach Hotel is proud to welcome Il Tinello into its culinary embrace: an Italian restaurant where the art of cooking converges with culture and community.
Named for the humble dining room, Il Tinello has been designed as an open, inviting space, through which guests are afforded the opportunity to delve into the history and heritage of Italy’s famed Tuscan landscape.
Peaceful and pastoral, Tuscany’s regional cuisine draws on the use of the freshest of ingredients, intertwined simply, heartily, and with great passion.
Il Tinello’s chefs are likewise driven by this inherent love for food, and the desire to share their works of culinary art – infused with tradition and authenticity – with Mediterranean Beach Hotel’s guests.
With warm wooden flooring, elegant cream décor throughout, and delicate use of lighting to create a sophisticated, luminous space, Il Tinello’s experienced wait staff members deliver dishes to guests’ tables with gusto and geniality.
Il Tinello’s menu has been designed as an epic journey of Italian cuisine, allowing guests to be the hero of their own tale: the quest begins with the selection of hot or cold starters, a soup or salad; a battle of the senses ensues as guests aspire to decide on a main course, be it pasta or risotto, fish and seafood, or meat and poultry; and the sweet cadences of the restaurant’s indulgent desserts serve to culminate the story.
Further to beloved classics – such as bruschetta with buffalo mozzarella, beef carpaccio, lasagna, oven-baked rack of lamb, and tiramisu – guests will find their appetite excited by the prospect of sampling delicacies of the likes of marinated grilled octopus, homemade tagliatelle with slow-cooked wild boar ragout, lobster tail served with homemade tagliolini and basil sauce, grilled peppered red tuna with fig marmalade, pan-seared veal escalope with prosciutto and fresh sage, and dark chocolate cake with apricot compote and a caramel anise sauce: delicious, decadent, and simply divine.
