New beginnings at Elysium
As the soft chill of winter begins to depart Cyprus, it is slowly making way for the sweet rays of spring sunshine, where the Elysium’s gardens are now in full bloom, serving as a potent reminder of the power in new beginnings…
With a new beginning fast approaching for the Elysium – namely, the reopening of the resort on March 23rd following a winter-long renovation – our hard-working team of gardeners have been out and about preparing the grounds to welcome our guests.
Once the team set about its work, a happy unearthing lay in wait: the discovery of full blooming, wild growing cyclamens, affectionately considered the superstars of Mediterranean flora.
Tenacious flowers that grow through winter, cyclamens possess a seductive fragrance, enviable marbled leaves, and elegant petals that bloom in both pastel and vibrant shades of pink and red, as well as wholesome white.
Considering that the name cyclamen comes from the Greek word kyklos, meaning ‘circle’, it seems a particularly fitting discovery that these flowers should be found adorning the grounds of the Elysium, as our five-star resort comes full circle with its renovations, and is on the brink of entering the new holiday season refreshed, revitalised, and renewed.
